Stout Sound & Design is the parent company behind Revolutionary Recordings and Intricate Designs Studio. Founded and run by Rob Stout, the company pairs two decades of audio engineering with hands-on hardware and electronics design — the same standard of craft applied to a mix and to a circuit board.
The two halves are not as separate as they look. A microphone is a circuit that has to survive a musical decision. A cornhole board that keeps score is an embedded system with a user who is holding a drink. The software the company builds comes out of the same work: a session log for the studio, an engineering notebook for the bench, a companion app for the hardware on the other side of the room.
Every project is handled directly by the owner: no assistants, no handoffs.
